NEJU DANCE COMPANY

In 2006 Juliana invited Nensi Bego to form a dance company with her. Nensi Bego, of Albanian origin, grew up in Rome where she studied Oriental Technique with Rita Italia at Teatro Anfitrione and the Egyptian folkloric styles with Saad Ismali, a former member of the Reda Ensemble in Cairo, and later Raqs Sharqi in London.

Nensi has a vast experience as a professional performer and is known for her exuberant, high energy style.

With Neju dance company Juliana Brustik and Nensi Bego combine their wide ranging skills and dance styles to create pieces and performances with a unique flavour: exploring rural and urban connections, traditional and contemporary dance idioms, and integrating choreography and improvisation.

They offer tailor made performances to suit a vast variety of settings, from festivals to cooperative events and private celebrations to staged shows with live and recorded music.
