The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic mindful movement practice that improves your awareness, mobility and overall wellbeing. It allows you to let go of habitual movement patterns that have developed (often due to stress and injury) and cause discomfort and even pain. This method allows you to find new ways of moving and being.
The Feldenkrais Method works on many levels, physical, emotional and how we think and organise.
EGYPTIAN DANCE CLASSES VIA ZOOM
All dance classes start with a half hour warm-up on the floor. The warm-ups are based on principles of the Feldenkrais Method.
The focus is on improving alignment, mobility and flow and grace of movement.
Awareness Through Movement
Each lesson focuses on a specific movement function. You either lie or sit on the floor and follow easy verbal movement instructions. The great thing is you work within your own movement range and within your own comfort zone! You are invited to sense, explore, discover your own way of moving and being.
Students often experience a deep sense of release and easier freedom in movement.
All lessons take place via Zoom
A zoom lesson is live. You will see me and I will be able to see you. We will be able to speak to each other. Half an hour before the lesson starts I will send an invite to the zoom ‘meeting’ via email. You click the link. You know you are in the ‘meeting’ once you can see my living room. I will keep all classes limited to 10 people. This allows me to observe everyone and adjust my teaching accordingly and also give personal feedback if needed.
